My Studio
Welcome to my creative sanctuary. This is where ideas transform into art, where experiments lead to discoveries, and where I spend countless hours pursuing my passion.

My main studio space where most of my paintings come to life.

A glimpse of works in progress on the easel.

The tools and materials that are essential to my creative process.

A quiet corner of the studio where I often sketch and plan new works.

The large windows provide beautiful natural light throughout the day.

A wall of sketches, photos, and inspirational elements that inform my work.
A Space for Creation
My studio is located in a converted warehouse with high ceilings and abundant natural light. I've designed the space to support all aspects of my creative process, from initial sketches to finished paintings.
The main area features several easels where I can work on multiple pieces simultaneously. This allows me to move between projects as inspiration strikes, and to let works rest between sessions, giving me fresh perspective when I return to them.
A separate area is dedicated to drawing and planning, with a large table where I can spread out reference materials, sketch ideas, and work on smaller pieces. This is also where I handle the business aspects of my art practice.

Materials & Process
Paints & Pigments
I work primarily with professional-grade oil paints, supplemented with acrylics for certain techniques. My palette is carefully curated to include both traditional and contemporary pigments, allowing for a wide range of color expressions.
Surfaces & Supports
I prepare my own canvases using high-quality linen and cotton duck, stretched on custom-built stretcher bars. For smaller works and studies, I often use wood panels or heavy watercolor paper prepared with gesso.
Tools & Techniques
My toolkit includes brushes of various shapes and sizes, palette knives, and unconventional tools that create unique textures. I often build up paintings in layers, allowing each to dry before applying the next for depth and luminosity.
A Day in the Studio
My studio practice follows a consistent rhythm that I've developed over years of professional work. I typically arrive early in the morning when the light is clear and my mind is fresh. After reviewing works in progress and planning the day's objectives, I begin with the most challenging tasks that require my full concentration.
Midday often involves stepping back from active painting to evaluate progress, make notes, and sometimes work on sketches or smaller studies. This break from intense focus allows me to see my work with fresh eyes when I return to it.
The afternoon session usually continues until early evening, with the changing light offering new perspectives on the work. Before leaving the studio, I clean my brushes and palette, make notes about the day's progress, and set intentions for the next session. This ritual helps maintain continuity in my practice and ensures I'm ready to begin work immediately upon returning.
Studio Visits
I occasionally open my studio to visitors by appointment. These visits provide an opportunity to see works in progress, discuss my process, and view pieces that aren't currently exhibited elsewhere.
